This map, the first in a series to recognize the importance of agriculturalists and their farm landscapes, was produced for Jess Neiderer, a fourth generation farmer in Hopewell Township, New Jersey. This map is dedicated to Jess and her devotion, passion and vision for organic farming.

Barnard Station in southeastern Pennsylvania was one of the most important stops on the Underground Railroad, enabling hundreds of fugitive slaves to find safety and freedom. This map was produced for the the Friends of Barnard Station, an organization who is restoring this 19th century building, for future use as a museum.

With the creation of the Lawrence Hopewell Trail (LHT) and its connections to trails in nearby parks and preserves (especially those in its northern reaches), it is now possible to walk from Lawrence Township, all the way to the crest of Sourland Mountain, a total distance on foot of over 20 miles.

This map represents the many trail and park linkages for a proposed "Canal to Mountain Pathway", which would span those miles.

A large part of the human history of the Sourland Mountain region includes African Americans, who have resided here since the early 18th century. This map, created for SSAAM's educational outreach program, highlights the history and sites of African American importance in the region.

Rock Brook Watershed

The Rock Brook watershed comprises over 6,000 acres, in an outlying region of Montgomery Township. The map was created for the township's open space committee, to identify the watershed's natural and historical resources, as well as public preserves and parks.

The lynching of Zachariah Walker occurred on August 13, 1911, in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. A white lynch mob attacked and burned African American steelworker Zachariah Walker alive in retaliation for killing a white steel company police officer. These map productions represents the overall geography and incident sites, that occurred over two days.
